Are you turning into your mother?

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Are you turning into your mother? A new poll finds most women start doing just that in their early 30s, according to Britain's Daily Telegraph.

Gaming site DottyBingo.com found most women find they start turning into their moms specifically at age 31. The survey found the key turning point to becoming more like mom is when women become moms themselves.

Park Slope psychotherapist Olivia Bergeron, who specializes in treating mothers, said that most women by their early 30s have matured past the rebellious stage.

"You're confident in yourself and able to turn to your mother and say there are things she was doing right and things that I didn't agree with at all at the time, but now start to make sense," Bergeron said.

Her advice for those men out there who worry about their wives turning into their mothers-in-law: "Don't panic." She said most women do not completely turn into their moms and some vow never to be like them.

So if you're a mom going through the terrible teenage years with your daughter, Bergeron said hang in there; odds are, things will get better.

    Why we yawn

We all yawn, but why we do it has long been a mysterious phenomenon. Turns out scientists have disproved the old "getting oxygen to our brain" theory. While we often yawn when we're sleepy, it may not be the sleepiness that's causing the yawn. "It's not surprising that there's a heightened level of yawning associated with being sleepy," says Dr. Andrew Gallup, an assistant professor of psychology at SUNY Oneonta and a leading researcher on the subject of yawning.
