Woman's Body Found in Well-Known Philly Lawyer's Home

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Police were called to the upscale home of Philadelphia Attorney Charles Peruto Jr. after investigators say a maintenance man found the body of a 26-year-old woman upside down in a bathtub.

The discovery was made around 10 a.m. Saturday at 2000 Delancey Place in the city's Rittenhouse Square section.

A police source identified the victim as Julia Law, a paralegal at Peruto's firm. Police are not considering the death suspicious at this time.

A source tells FOX 29 Peruto told investigators he was down at the shore when the body was discovered. He did meet with investigators earlier in the day.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the woman's cause of death. FOX 29 is continuing to follow this developing story, and reporter Dave Kinchen has more details in the video report above.
