APD looking for possible assault victim

The Austin Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a possible assault victim.

According to APD, on Tuesday, witnesses reported seeing a man holding a woman in a chokehold and pulling her by her hair toward a dark blue 1980s model Honda Accord or Civic with tinted windows. The vehicle as pointed in the direction of a neighborhood on River Oaks Drive.

An eye witness allegedly drove by the incident and was told by the male suspect not to stop. The female victim then yelled, "He's going to kill me," according to APD.

When APD searched the area they found a pair of Coach slip-on shoes, an ankle bracelet and an empty pack of Newport cigarettes.

The male suspect is described as:

  • White male
  • Late 20s
  • Muscular build
  • Shaved head
  • Last seen wearing a white shirt

The possible female victim is described as:

  • White female
  • Late 30s
  • Approximately 160lbs
  • Blonde hair
  • Last seen wearing a pink shirt and tan shorts

APD is asking anyone with information about this incident to call the Region II Detectives at (512) 974-8265.
