Former H.S. Football players sentenced for roles in 2010 rape

Four former high school football players in Pflugerville will not serve time for their roles in the rape of a 9-th grader two years ago.

All 4 men pleaded guilty to attempted unlawful restraint and were sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication.

Leonard Scales, 20 and 21-year-old Tommie Robins Jr had been charged with sexual assault.

Deionta James, 21, and 19-year-old Curtis Franklin were charged with unlawful restraint.

The victim told police that James and Franklin held her down in the shower area at a pool while Scales and Robins took turns sexually assaulting her.

All 4 men were on the Hendrickson High School Football roster in 2010.
