An Australian mine unveils their extremely rare find.
Rio Tinto's Argyle Diamond Mine shows off the largest red diamond ever found on the property. The rare gem will be auctioned off to a secret bidder at the annual pink diamond tender.
A sale that features some of the rarest gem stones found exclusively at the mine. Manager of argyle pink diamonds, Josephine Johnson, says the red diamond will cost a pretty penny.
Red diamonds are considered ultra-premium and could sell in excess of a million, or two million dollars a carat.
After Sydney, the tender will make its way to New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
