CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are looking for a south suburban man they consider "armed and dangerous" who is suspecting of shooting a man in the South Side Beverly neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The 34-year-old victim was shot at 12:37 p.m. in the 9900 block of South Walden Parkway, police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police on Thursday said the shooting occurred as a result of a dispute between the victim and David Twine, 29, of Matteson.

Twine, subject of an arrest warrant for aggravated battery, may be driving a black 2012 Cadillac SRX with Illinois plate P24450.

He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous, according to police. Anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts should call Area South detectives at (312) 747-8271.
