Three men were wounded in a pair of shootings Tuesday evening on the South Side.

Two men were shot about 4 p.m. near East 77th Street and South Burnham Avenue, police said.

One man, 19, was shot in the back and the other, 20, was shot in the back of the head, police said.

They were initially taken in "stable" condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to police.

Another man was wounded in an apparently unrelated shooting about two miles away in the South Chicago neighborhood.

That man, 19, was shot in the arm about 5 p.m. near East 90th Street and South Escanaba Avenue, police said. Hospital information was not immediately available.
