A child is among the dead after a triple shooting in southwest Houston on Monday.
Neighbors reported hearing a gunshot around 3:30pm but apparently nobody called it in.
And later in the evening a teenager returned home to discover the bloodshed.
His father was barely alive, the father's girlfriend was dead and so was the teen's 10-year old brother.
To detectives, it appears the killer was someone known to the family.
"No signs of forced entry and no telltale signs of a violent encounter at the front door," said HPD Homicide Lt. John Zitzmann. "It just looks like the gunman escorted them upstairs and that's where all the violent activity took place."
The father was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
And police are seeking more information about two men who were seen leaving the area in a four-door silver sedan.
