TEMPE, Ariz. -

An Arizona fugitive who has been on the run for 11 years after pleading guilty to sexual assault has been arrested in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mazen Diamond was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service in Atlanta on Monday. He had been living with his girlfriend and two young children under an assumed identity.

Mazen had been in hiding since 2002. He pleaded guilty to sexual assault and surreptitious videotaping in 2002, but failed to show up for sentencing. He and his co-defendant, Antonio Julio Sanchez, drugged young women at Tempe bars, sexually assaulted them inside their apartment, and videotaped it. There were at least 2 victims.

Sanchez was located and arrested on April 24. He had been living with his girlfriend in a beachfront condo in Miami.

Mazen was booked into the Fulton County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Arizona.
