A man at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston opened fire and then shot himself Thursday afternoon created havoc for travelers as well after flights to Houston were canceled and diverted.

He has been identified as 29-year-old Carnell Moore.

The shooting took place at a terminal used by United Airlines. Witnesses said Moore walked into a checkpoint at the terminal and fired multiple shots in the air.

An air marshal then fired at Moore but missed. Moore then turned the gun on himself and fired.

The FAA ordered a ground stop which held up any arriving flight.
