What Did Feds Know About Tsarnaev Family, And When?

The investigation into the Boston Marathon bombings is now focusing on the suspects' mother.

U.S. officials say Russian authorities secretly recorded Zubeidat Tsarnaeva talking about jihad in at least one conversation with her oldest son, Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

She was also recorded talking with someone in southern Russia who is being investigated by the FBI in an unrelated case.

"I think she played a very strong role in his radicalization process. I believe she is a person of interest, if not a subject," Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas).

"Whether or not she was involved in the plot, that we don't know, but certainly she facilitated his thinking toward radicalism," said Rep. Peter King / (R-N.Y.)

Russian authorities only told the FBI that Tamerlan and his mother were religious extremists.

Officials say there was no information in the conversation to suggest the boys were trained or were planning an attack in the U.S.

Fox News' Bret Baier joined "Good Day" live from Washington, D.C., on Monday morning to discuss the latest details in the investigation.
