Students return to Anderson HS after threat

Posted: Updated:

Wednesday morning students at Anderson High School in North Austin were evacuated after authorities received a bomb threat.

School officials said that even though the bomb threat did not seem credible, the school immediately notified AISD Police and evacuated students and staff.

Police performed a thorough search of the school with bomb sniffing dogs but did not find anything suspicious. Students were allowed to return to class shortly after that.

School officials say there is no reason to believe the students or staff were in any danger.
