MYFOXNY.COM -

The sisters of Boston Marathon bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have released a statement saying that their "hearts go out" to the victims.

"It saddens us to see so many innocent people hurt after such a callous act. As a family, we are absolutely devastated by the sense of loss and sorrow this has caused," the sisters, Ailina and Bella Tsarnaev, said in a statement released through their lawyers. "We don't have any answers but we look forward to a thorough investigation and hope to learn more. We ask the media to respect our privacy during this difficult time."

Ailina Tsarnaeva and her family live in West New York, N.J. Last week, FBI agents came to her home and removed a computer and other items. She has not been seen in public for days. Police officers remain outside the building, the AP reported.

Authorities believe the Tsarnaev brother planted two bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three people and wounding dozens more.

Tamerlan was killed in a shootout with cops on Thursday night.

Authorities captured a critically wounded Dzhokhar on Friday.
