WILMINGTON, Del. -

A man wanted in connection to a March 2006 beating death of another man was arrested in Tenancingo, Mexico to close a seven-year manhunt, Delaware State Police and the United States Marshals announced Tuesday.

According to investigators, Miguel Aramiz was arrested last week. The 34-year-old is wanted in connection to the beating death of a man at a Canby Park Shopping Center carnival, investigators said.

According to state police, Aramiz was indicted on charges that he and others allegedly chased the victim through a crowded carnival and then beat the man with a baseball bat in open view.

"The arrest of Aramiz is a result of the coordinated investigative efforts of the U.S. Marshals and Delaware Troopers," state police Sergeant Paul G. Shavack said in a statement. "These cooperative efforts ensure that fugitives who choose to leave Delaware and United States to avoid prosecution will be located and brought to justice."

According to investigators, Aramiz was featured in a gang segment of "America's Most Wanted" in spring 2010.
