About 200 local athletes participated in the Boston marathon. Thursday, they met to remember those lost, pray for those injured and celebrate their own safe return.
The folks who came out brought glow sticks, etc. and walked or jogged along the trail at Town Lake Butler Trail.
As FOX 7 learned one local runner was hit by debris during the first explosion. Another runner whom we caught up with at the airport upon returning to Austin told us she witnessed a woman lose all the fingers on her hand.
The event Thursday night was intended to give those participants and others closure.
