NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The New York State Police have canceled a Missing Child Alert for the disappearance of three-year-old Levi Jennings.

News of the cancellation was released on Monday morning.  Jennings was found safe with family members in North Carolina.

New York City officials reported that the child was abducted on Thursday from Fulton Street in Brooklyn.

At the time, police said they believed the boy was kidnapped by his non-custodial father.  They were looking for Thomas Jennings and say he has a order of protection out against him and has violent tendencies.

Police did not release any information about the father in announcing the boy had been found safe.
