Authors Rayya Elias and Elizabeth Gilbert in town for book signing

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

Two authors will be participating in a reading, discussion and book signing tomorrow, Thursday, April 18. Author Rayya Elias will read from her new book 'Harley Loco: A Memoir of Hard Living, Hair, and Post-Punk, from the Middle East to the Lower East Side.' Followed by the reading, author of 'Eat, Pray, Love,' Elizabeth Gilbert, will join Elias for a discussion and book signing. Prior to the event, a VIP author reception will take place at 6 p.m. at Rivera Court in Detroit. The book signing and reading, which is free with advanced registration, will take place at 7 p.m. at the Detroit Film Theatre. Advanced registration is required for the event.

Rivera Court and the Detroit Film Theatre are located at 5200 Woodward Ave. at the Detroit Institute of Arts in Detroit.

Tickets to the private VIP author reception are $150 and can be purchased online at www.dia.org/rayyaelias.
