Kid Rock fans upset over ticket sales

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (MyFox Detroit) -

It's the hottest ticket of the summer - Kid Rock! But some of his biggest fans are upset over ticket sales. People who lined up at the Palace for hours tell us they got bumped to the back of the line. Others say they couldn't get through online and now tickets are selling on other web sites for five times the $20 price.

"It was horrible," says one fan. "Standing on line, it was freezing cold. Then they came out and told us they were doing a raffle."

But the Palace has been doing a raffle like this for almost a decade now. A spokesperson tells us they do a random number drawing to give everyone a fair chance.

About 80% of people who showed up at the box office did walk away with a $20 ticket. But, fans who tried to buy online at the start of sales were not as fortunate. Ticket buyers online at 10am were told the event was sold out and now that same $20 ticket was being sold online from $80-$1000.

"That's just not fair," said another fan. "It's sad that the brokers do that and you can't get your tickets."

Two things fans can do if you still want to see Kid Rock: Join a fan club or wait closer to the day of the concert. As the date draws near, venues usually release more tickets.
