Was it too soon? 'Glee' episode depicts school shooting

Critics say last night's episode of 'Glee' was too reminiscent of the school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

In the show, shots ring out and tearful students run for cover. In several heartbreaking scenes, the show was seen through cell phone cameras as students recorded final messages for their loved ones.

'Glee' executives stand by their content, calling it powerful. They had also warned viewers the episode was "an emotional roller coaster."

It was in December when 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown before taking his own life.

Janet Robinson, the superintendent of Newtown schools, sent a letter out to families warning them about the show's plot.

Now, critics are asking if it was too soon to feature a school shooting on a primetime network show.

It's not just the styles that have changed with weddings over the years -- it's also the technology. Disposable cameras used to be the norm, but now there's an even simpler way for the bride and groom to get some candid photos of their special day.
