NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A man angry at his ex-girlfriend threw her kitten out the third-floor window of her Yonkers apartment Sunday night, according to the SPCA of Westchester.

Yonkers cops responded to the building because of a call for the domestic dispute. Officers found the wounded 5-week-old kitten on the sidewalk outside S. Waverly Street, the SPCA said.

The kitten, named Precious, was treated at Westchester Animal Hospital. Her upper teeth went through the bottom of her mouth because of the impact of the fall, but she was otherwise unharmed, the SPCA said. Precious apparently was able to right herself while falling.

The SPCA's Humane Law Enforcement Division is now seeking Craig Morejon, who is suspected of throwing the kitten out the window. An arrest warrant has been issued on charges of assault and animal abuse.

If you have any information you can contact the SPCA's confidential animal cruelty hotline at 914-941-7797 or the Yonkers Police at (914) 377-7777.

A new Marist College poll finds most Americans say it doesn't take a lot of money to be stylish. The nationwide poll by the Hudson Valley college found 86 percent of respondents said it was possible to be stylish on a limited budget. The other 14 percent agreed with the statement that it's only possible to have good style with a lot of money. The poll also found that 68 percent of Americans think we focus too much on fashion.
