A man has been arrested after he stabbed a Burnet County Police officer.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Short and Taggard, where they say they observed a man, later identified as 33-year-old Andrew Waldow, acting erratically.
Waldow ran from the scene and officers chased after him. During the pursuit Waldow drew a knife and stabbed an officer in the stomach.
Waldow was apprehended and taken to a local hospital where he received treatment for a possible drug overdose. The officer was also transported to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Waldow was booked into the Burnet County Jail where charges are pending.
