16 Metal Grates Stolen From Mausoleums Of NJ Cemetery

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. -

Police in Egg Harbor Township say they assume more than a dozen metal grates stolen from the Laurel Memorial Cemetery in February were taken to be sold as scrap metal.

Police say 16 metal grates made of brass were removed from various mausoleums in the cemetery on February 15.

Police are asking for the public's help to identify the person or group responsible for the thefts. If you have any information that you think might help, you're asked to call the Egg Harbor Township Police Department at 609-926-4051 or Atlantic County Crimestoppers at 609-652-1234.
