PHILADELPHIA -

McDonald's is using April Fool's Day to officially launch their new Premium McWraps, but the campaign is no joke.

McDonald's is calling the new wrap a "Subway-buster." A spokesperson said the new meal-sized chicken wraps are the first hand-held entrees at the burger chain to feature fresh vegetables like cucumbers and a spring lettuce mix.

The new menu item is premiering nationwide, but the restaurant chain's local representatives are asking Philly residents to take to social media to celebrate the three new wraps with the "Where's My McWrap?" campaign.

They say Philadelphians should be on the lookout over the next few weeks for a life-sized replica of the McWrap. People who take a picture of it and tweet it to @McDPhilly with #ItsAWrapPhilly can win coupons.

A spokeswoman for McDonald's said Philly residents can look forward to more from this campaign: the company is partnering with the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia and Bloomingdales to put on a spring fashion show in early May. The show will feature local designers and their McWrap-inspired wrap dresses.
