Thousands gathered today for the largest Easter service in Austin.
The Austin Stone Community Church held worship service at the Frank Erwin Center Sunday morning. An estimated that 15,000 people were in attendance. This is the third year the church has put on such a large service, and in addition to the service, the church is reaching out to help foster children in the community.
"We're hoping that many adoptions happen in our city through foster care. And we've done a big gift card drive and we'll see how that's gone and we hope that there's a big support there to support families that are fostering and adopting," said Justin Lopez, Mission Pastor.
At Central Christian Church in Austin helped kids get in on the fun by offering photos with the Easter bunny, Easter egg hunt and of course Easter service. Church volunteers stuffed more than 3,000 Easter eggs for this morning's hunt.
