Woodbury Heights, NJ -

Songs of praise and acts of blessings marked Easter Sunday service at St. Margaret  Church in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey.

"The resurrection of Christ gives us new gifts and new graces that we continue in our Christian lives," said Father Felipe Doldan during mass.

Father Doldan used the power of the pulpit to tell parishioners how Pope Francis might want them to live their lives.

Especially when it comes to social issues, like abortion and  gay marriage.

"The church has always considered the family. And the children receiving input from a father and a mother, " explained Doldan.

"We as Catholics need to know what our Pope thinks to keep our Christian values going," said church member Bernadette Quigley. And to hear it  from pulpit is very reassuring."

Father Doldan comes from a unique position to pontificate on the pontiff's views. He has met him more than a dozen times.

Father Doldan spends half a year at a church in Buenos Aires. Pope Francis visited the area yearly during patron festivities when he was a cardinal.

"He will be much more strict than Benedict in cases of pedophilia of which we ask forgiveness," said Doldan.
