Some kids in Austin were able to take part in Easter festivities a day early.
Kids took to the capitol grounds in search of eggs for St. David's annual Easter egg hunt for families without homes.
Many got into it too, running with their baskets and searching all over for eggs. The church hosted the hunt for families living at the Salvation Army.
Parishioners gave every child an Easter basket that the little ones filled with eggs, candy, and prizes.
Organizers say officials with the church said they began this outreach program for homeless families five years ago.
