Police Looking At Videos After Melee Near High School

Posted: Updated:
READING, Pa. -

Investigators in Berks County are buckling down, looking for clues after a massive fight involving teenagers in Reading.

It all started in front of Reading High School. But as police would show up the kids scattered and continued fighting a few blocks away.

Police are now working with area businesses and video surveillance to identify the kids involved.

Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. But neighbors say this is becoming too common.

"We have a detective searching the social media sites to get the video so we can charge these kids in the future," Sgt. John Solecki said.

"Outside of the school, I think parents need to take more of a liking to what kids – they need to do more things at home so they know what's going on in the kids' lives," Jedidiah Brown said.

Police say someone posted video of the fight to Facebook but has taken it down. They have a team working identify where the video post came from, FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito reported.
