FOX 29's Howard Eskin has learned former Phillies outfielder Lenny Dykstra is expected to be released from a Los Angeles County jail Thursday.

Dykstra was sentenced in May of 2011 for bank fraud and grand theft auto.

The former Phillies MVP served a little less than two years of his three-year sentence.

Sources within the Dykstra family tell Eskin the former outfielder will be placed on supervised release and will enter a rehab program.
