For the first time in 14 years under Rick Barnes, Texas will not be playing in the NCAA Tournament. But the Longhorns' streak of post-season appearances will continue. Texas accepted an invitation to the 16-team College Basketball Invitational and will play former Southwest Conference foe Houston Wednesday night at Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston. Tiptime is set for 8PM. This is the first meeting between the Horns and Cougars since 2000.
While the Longhorns missed the NCAA, Austin will get its taste of the tourney when the Erwin Center hosts 2nd and 3rd round games Friday and Sunday. A look at Friday's 2nd round match-ups:
