The city is hosting all kinds of musicians for this week's South by Southwest. Friday, one the most popular punk-rock bands made their way downtown.

Green Day is one of the World's best bands and busiest too. The band is playing in Austin tonight and had planned to walk the red carpet at the Paramount Theatre for their double feature film premier.

The band slipped in the back door as several hundred fans made their way in to watch.

"I won these from the fan club so I'm going from person to person what I'm supposed to do, I know I'm excited about the concert tonight," said Green Day fan Sara Perry.

One of the films is documentary. It followed the band around for over a year, shooting them behind the scenes and at small venues. It's a must see for any Green Day fan.

The other film is based on the bands amazingly popular American Idiot album that was on Broadway for over a year. The movie is Broadway Idiot.

The band who's sold more than 75 million albums will play tonight at the Moody Theater.
