As South by Southwest enters its final weekend officials say they expect large crowds to descend on downtown for the shows.
There were about 9,000 people at the free show at Auditorium Shores Thursday night. The crowd Friday night is estimated to about 15,000 people.
To help with the large crowds the Austin Police Department has added blowout gates. If the crowd gets to big then they can take those gates down. Also, the gates have been pushed further back to allow for more people to come to the show. The gates open at 3:30 p.m. and the first act takes the stage at 6:00 p.m.
