Schaumburg Boomers need a new mascot - audition to be the bird!

The Schaumburg Boomers are looking for a new mascot. Who else but Good Day Chicago's Patrick Elwood to help find the best person for the job?
Representative Sarah Romano said the minor league team is looking for someone with a lot of energy to be the big bird, with a great attitude to keep the fun flowing at these games!
Mascot try-outs will be held at the Schaumburg stadium Saturday. Opening day is May 16. Game tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Steve Parks came for his interview Tuesday morning, and tried out some of the bird's classic moves to audition. The actor said it's a short-term dream of his, to be a team mascot. Parks just couldn't resist.
They even showed how to do the "Coop Dance" – live on the air!
