TMZ executive producer Harvey Levin was in Austin over the weekend to talk about the future of internet and TV and, quite possibly, the merging of these two mediums.
The head of the celebrity news insider predicts in a few years, both will be obsolete unless they combine to create a one-stop shop for those looking for information and entertainment.
Levin went on to say the blending of TV and internet has shown great strides especially when used on TMZ live. He says media creators need to think about this sooner rather than later since it'll be the best way to reach audiences.
"Need to start thinking how to produce for that one box that everybody's gonna have in their living rooms. And, it's going to be a very different experience in 10 years," Levin said.
Levin's no stranger to successful internet endeavors. Just seven months after launching TMZ, the website took the number one spot for entertainment news pages.
