APD investigates auto-pedestrian accident

Austin police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident in southeast Austin.

It happened just before 7 p.m. in the 1600 block of Montopolis, just north of East Riverside Drive.

Police say a 23-year-old woman was hit by a pickup truck that was southbound on Montopolis.

She was taken to UMC Brackenridge in very serious condition.

Police say no charges will be filed at this time.
