Austin Police have charged a woman involved in a one-vehicle accident that killed her 4-year-old daughter.
Police say on Feb. 19, Shea Lynn Goss was driving a Dodge Durango 12500 in the Riata Vista Circle with her three children in the vehicle. Witnesses told police that Goss suddenly veered right, hit a curb and struck a group of trees.
Goss' 4-year-old daughter died from her injuries. The other two children, a four-year-old twin sister and a five-year-old brother were seriously injured and transported to the hospital.
Police found prescription muscle relaxers and pain relievers scattered throughout Goss' vehicle. They say she was so intoxicated on drugs that she was unable to communicate clearly with the officer and had a hard time staying awake.
Goss is charged with intoxication manslaughter, a 2nd degree Felony and two counts of Intoxication Assault, both 3rd degree felonies.
