A body was found floating in Lady Bird Lake, Tuesday afternoon just yards away from the Ann Richards bridge.
The call originally came in as a water rescue and when emergency services arrived they discovered a man's body floating in about three feet of water. This all happened just below the Ann Richards bridge at the south shore of town lake.
Some who frequent the area say they have seen a man sleeping in the area where the body was found and believe he may have been homeless.
The body was sent off to the Travis County Medical Examiner's office. The park and running trails have now re-opened.
