Fatal near Spicewood

The department of public safety is investigating a fatal accident that killed a man.

Troopers say around 8:30 last night, they were called out the 21-thousand block of Highway 71 West near Spicewood. 

                Witnesses say a 40-year-old man was hit and killed while trying to cross the highway.

                71 was reduced to one lane in each direction.
