Residents in south Austin are planning for future development in their neighborhoods.
Residents met a Crockett High School, Saturday, to discuss the future of the area that includes the Westgate, Manchaca and garrison park neighborhoods.
The workshop is part of a year-long planning process that will help guide the city for future development in south Austin.
"This is their area. They know it best. They know what the good parts are and the parts that could be better. Where the opportunities are for change to make things better and we want their vision for what they would like the character of their neighborhood to be like in the future," said Carol Haywood, with the city's Comprehensive Planning Division.
More than 100 residents were in attendance.
