Texas AG Greg Abbott's Cyber Crimes Unit has arrested a man for using the Internet to sexually solicit a minor. Forrest William Johnson, 50, has been charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor, a 2nd-degree felony.
According to authorities, after posting an explicit online advertisement, Johnson received a response from what he believed to be a 15-year-old girl, but was actually an undercover police officer with the Cyber Crimes Unit. He then arranged a time and place to meet with the "girl," and upon his arrival at the location, was arrested by Cyber Crime Unit police officers.
Johnson was transported to the Williamson County Jail, and remains there on a $20,000 bond.
At the time of his arrest, Johnson told authorities that he is a federal agent with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and is assigned to law enforcement duties at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
