Pflugerville Police have released a new composite sketch of a suspect they say attempted to kidnap a girl who was walking to school Wednesday morning.

Pflugerville police say a Hutto man has admitted to preying on young girls and attempting to kidnap two children.

Police say the greenbelts throughout the neighborhoods along Rowe Lane and Kelly Lane in Pflugerville were the hunting grounds for a child predator.

Hutto resident 23-year-old Justin Michael Johnson is charged with two counts of attempted aggravated kidnapping.

"He was having sexual fantasies. As we know with child predators, they all start somewhere," said Lt. Laura Wilkes, Pflugerville Police Department.

For Johnson, police say he first assaulted a 9 –year-old girl on December 18, 2012 as she walked with her brother on the trails just behind Rowe Elementary. A family member tells FOX 7 Johnson grabbed the girl on her behind.

Then, on February 1, officers say Johnson admitting to following Jennifer Smith's 9-year-old daughter.

"Very scared, she came running in the house in a panic," Jennifer Smith said.

Smith says Johnson was driving a red truck at the time and screamed curse words at the girl.

"Just the thought of him. My daughter was on the street by herself. He could've easily jumped out of the truck and grabbed her," Smith said.

This week on February 13, an 8 and 10-year-old girl told police Johnson grabbed one of them on their walk to school. Both got away.

Police say that morning Johnson's red Ford truck was captured on surveillance video circling Murchison Middle School.

"He did confess to all the incidents we have spoken to you about," Lt. Wilkes said.

But one mom feels Johnson may have committed more crimes. She says he followed her 12-year-old daughter home from school on December 5, 2012.

"Last night when she saw his picture she said that is him that is absolutely him. That's the face I've been seeing in my nightmares the past two months," Julia Lowcher said.

Officers thanked residents who emailed photos of Johnson's red truck and a child who identified Johnson at a local Target. The tips helped guide police to Johnson's home.

"Because of them we have a child predator that's off our streets," Lt. Wilkes said.

Johnson faces two to 20 years for each attempted aggravated kidnapping charge. A judge could order him to register as a sex offender if officers can show the motive as sexual gratification.

Travis County is working the December 18, 2012 case. They have it classified as assault by contact. But, they aren't convinced Johnson is their man even though he confessed. If charged for that crime, a judge could also order sex offender registration.
