Police release new sketch of kidnapping suspect

Posted: Updated:

Pflugerville Police have released a new composite sketch of a suspect they say attempted to kidnap a girl who was walking to school Wednesday morning.

The new sketch shows the suspect without facial hair in the event that he died it. Additionally, Travis County investigators believe he may have attempted this crime before.

According to Police, a young girl was walking to school with her friend on the hike and bike trail in the 2500 block of Quiet Water Pass in Pflugerville. The girl told police a man grabbed her on the shoulder and then covered her mouth when the girls began screaming. Both girls were able to escape and make it to the school.

On February 1 police received a suspicious activity report that a red extended cap or crew cab truck with spots on the side was spotted in the same area.

Investigators with the Travis County Sheriff's Office said a man fitting this description approached a young girl and grabbed her on December 18. He was seen on the hike and bike trail by a witness the same day an hour later.
