KLBJ reporter killed in car crash

Barbara McCarley, a reporter for News Radio KLBJ, died from injuries suffered Tuesday morning in a car crash on FM 2222.

The accident took place near the intersection of Mesa Drive just before noon on Tuesday. In total, three people were injured in the two-car crash.

On Wednesday McCarley passed away from her injures.

She began reporting in Austin in 1998. She is survived by her husband of 18 years and two children.
