This Ash Wednesday you can get your ashes to go thanks to St. David's Episcopal Church. The church is expanding the program by adding a second location and additional hours.
The idea of offering ashes without attending an actual service started in 2007 at a church in St. Louis. Now churches across the country offer ashes to go or drive-thru options for people wishing to observe the day.
St. David's will offer ashes to commuters or people who may not have the time or inclination to observe the day. It's a way the church says it can take faith to everyday places.
Priests will be at 6th and Congress and 6th and Lamar from 8 am to 9 am and 11:30 am to 1 pm.
