They've been dreaming of a wedding their whole lives, but their dream of walking down the aisle in the perfect dress, holding the perfect flowers doesn't involve you.

There's a new trend in the bridal world: "Don't save the date."

It's getting a lot of traction on social media websites.

An invitations maker says he created a "don't save the date" for a bride that said "we hope you don't feel slighted. We're getting married on the beach, with no guests invited."

But not all of them are written so poetically.

Philly bride-to-be Sharita McBryde says she wouldn't send a "don't save the date," but understands why someone might.

"I would think it would be spiteful in some type of way. Maybe because it's someone they might not like," McBryde said.

While they could be intentionally nasty, many are fueled by budget constraints.

Still, FOX 29 couldn't find a wedding planner that liked the idea of a "don't save the date."

It was a soupy start today. We can expect many clouds, some sun, lots of humidity, and a chance of pop up showers any time. At least it'll be warmer: High around 80-degrees today.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. Warm temps stick around, too. And we do mean stick...because it'll be humid, too.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
