Debating military’s decision to extend benefits to same-sex part

More than a year after the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell," pentagon officials say they will be extending a number of benefits to same-sex partners of members of the military.

The changes will be put into effect by October, but won't include some housing and health care benefits because of federal law.
