Philly Man Aims To Change The World, One Picture At A Time

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

It all started with a guy from the Fishtown section of Philadelphia who was trying to help his niece with a video project to make her laugh.

The project has since quickly turned into a social media campaign against bullying and it has people across the nation doing what's now known as the "Syboll."

Syboll says he was bullied growing up in Philadelphia back in the 80s. Back then, Syboll says being gay wasn't tolerated.

"How horrible it feels to go into school and have someone make fun of you every single day and come home and cry," Syboll told FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito.

Syboll kept making his videos, but began to infuse a lesson into them and, of course, his signature face.

He says the response was almost instant, with thousands of photos flooding Facebook and Twitter from fans across the country.

With his new fame, Syboll has been giving out t-shirts and buttons just to spread his message of tolerance and anti-bullying.

You can see Syboll Friday morning on FOX 29's Good Day Philadelphia.
