Chef Paul French, from the Hyatt, brought some of his Valentine's Day sweet secrets to the Good Day kitchen this morning.
Recipe: Sticky Coffee Cake
Ingredients
- 10.5 oz vegetable oil
- 11.5 oz sugar
- 3 eggs
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp ginger
- ½ tsp cloves
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ oz baking powder
- 9 oz canned pumpkin

6 oz Caramel Sauce
Directions
- Combine oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla in mixer
and mix until combined
- Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixer
mix until fully incorporated
- Spray bowls with non stick spray and place
1.5 oz caramel sauce in bottom of bowl
- Fill bowl ¾ full with batter
- Bake @ 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until a
toothpick is clean when pulled from center of cake
- Let cake cool slightly then invert on plate and
serve warm
