San Marcos police say they are trying to figure what led to a man being stabbed and killed at a party Sunday morning.
San Marcos police department wouldn't comment on the case Monday except to say no one has been arrested or charged in this case.
San Marcos police says a 20-year-old Austin man was stabbed at a party Sunday morning off Allen Street, a neighborhood with mostly Texas State students.
Neighbors say the several Texas State University athletes live at the house where the victim was stabbed.
FOX 7 has been trying to confirm with the university but we have not received a response as of news time.
They identified the man as Arthur Martinez and said he died after being transported to Central Texas Medical Center with stab wounds.
Neighbors say they were surprised to hear about what happened
"I heard a bunch of people milling around, kind of wondering what the heck was going on then I heard a bunch of screams," said Lauren Svoboda, a neighbor. "My neighbors actually told me the next day that they had seen the guy he was coming out and bleeding obviously from his chest and my neighbors were trying to help him but there was nothing they could really do."
Police say this investigation is ongoing and as of this afternoon no arrest had been made in the case. They ask if you have any information call San Marcos police at 512-753-2108.
