For most, it's a Super Bowl staple, but with the National Chicken Council estimating we'll eat over 1 billion wings, some may be left with nothing but the veggies.
According to the chicken experts, prices for wings have doubled over the past year and a half. But this weekend is still the most popular time for wings and local restaurant owners say they're paying more for less in order to meet the demand.
For those of you worried about getting your wing fix, no need to get your feathers in a bunch, the majority of local restaurants are prepared.
"We've been able to get all of the wings we need, but there will be a lot of mom and pops these days that aren't able to get everything they need. They might resort to frozen or no wings at all at this point for Super Bowl," said Owner and Founder of Pluckers, Dave Paul said.
The Pluckers founder says they will be making more than 5,000 wings every hour this Sunday.
