Satanist accused of terrorizing woman

BOSTON (AP) — A self-described Satan worshipper from New York City has been ordered held on $100,000 bail after pleading not guilty to threatening to kill a yoga and fitness instructor he met at a Boston bar.

Christopher Cori of Queens, N.Y., was arraigned Tuesday in Boston on making criminal threats and harassment charges.

Authorities say the 21-year-old Cori met the 25-year-old woman on Jan. 19 and struck up a conversation because he was interested in fitness classes. The woman told prosecutors he behaved bizarrely at the bar, even playing with a knife.

The woman told police she soon started receiving threatening text messages and voicemails from Cori, including a threat to burn down her house and "kill you without blinking an eye."

His lawyer agreed to have Cori undergo a mental health evaluation.
